Happy 80th Birthday, Johnny Cash.

Before he was the man in black, he rolled a plaid pearlsnap.

Kentucky Deluxe

Supposedly one of the best selling whiskeys there is, but not a straight bourbon at all. It's a bourbon blended(heavily cut) with grain neutral spirits(vodka). This came in the light weight travel bottle which again won't roll out from under your pick-up seat, but if it's empty you can't effectively crack someone over the head with it.

This whiskey is surprisingly drinkable on the rocks, but I would think a real bender on it would leave a particularly nasty hangover.

Knucklehead Cowboy

I try to keep all my posts original content, but this was too good not to steal.

Ely Cattleman - Black Plaid

This is one of my favorites. Feels great, looks great, and it has to be the most wrinkle resistant shirt I own. It can sit still in the bottom of the dryer for several days and still look fresh when you get it out.

Very Old Barton

This a pretty neat bottle. I believe I actually bought this in Bardstown, Kentucky. I have no idea where it is distributed for sure, but I don't recall seeing it in package stores in Oklahoma or Indiana.

CORRECTION: I'm not sure where this bottle came from. I bought some odd whiskeys, when I made a trip to Owensboro.

Motorcycle Scully - Orange and Black

I had birthday the other day and I had to bust out a present from an earlier birthday. Scully makes the finest pearlsnap shirts in the world. The finest materials, smiley pockets, crazy piping, and multi-colored embroidery.

JW Dant

JW Dant. It should be JW Don't. I bought this out of a clearance rack in the liquor store. This is the worst whiskey I have ever had. We had to finish it with with one shot glass and a pistol. One person does a shot and the other person has the gun to make sure he does the shot and then of course trade back. It's a neat old timey looking bottle though. Really makes question why it was bottled in bond for sure.

Daniel Cremieux - Black Plaid

Okay, I know this isn't a real pearlsnap shirt because they don't sell them like this at the Farm and Fleet more like Macy's or something. 100% Cotton not a polyester blend and no place for pen to clip in the left pocket. I bought this one with two other similar shirts as a lot off eBay for a good price and I have to admit it doesn't wrinkle too bad and feels good. I wouldn't have paid full retail price for it. Bummer about the pen slot though.

1792 - Ridgemont Reserve

Really fancy and expensive whiskey doesn't have labels only paint on the bottle and cork top.

McAfee's Benchmark Old No 8

All this blogging has made me so thirsty.

McAfee's Benchmark Old No 8. It came from the bottom shelf at the liquor store, so it is cheap enough. It's cowboy whiskey for sure. In case you didn't know cowboy whiskey comes in a square bottle so it doesn't roll out from under the seat in your pick-up truck. The black label and old no. 8 make you think you have Jack Daniels, but you don't. This is still an easy drinking whiskey that only needs ice.

Purple, Green, and Blue Plaid - Ruddock

I have had to learn a bit about photography and lighting doing this blog. I have been struggling to really get the colors to show up true in the digital realm using a $100 point and shoot camera. Hopefully this looks good.

This is my purple, green, and blue plaid Ruddock. It's lighter weight fabric than the Black and White Gingham Ruddock. It's size by actual measurement 17 1/2 neck with 37 sleeves. "Tall Man" for an ape arms like me.

Micky Crockett Album - Blue Satin

A dear friend of mine is quite the fancier of vintage vinyl. Here's an awesome Micky Crockett album picture he sent me. How "Hard Time Life" could it be when you're rolling a blue satin pearlsnap with white piping?
