Pink Pearlsnaps for October

So 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, including 4 of my good friends. So I have running in The Race for the Cure for a few years now. This year I have chosen to wear a pink shirt everyday for the 8 week running up to the race. I'm about halfway there now. I must admit two of my pink shirts aren't pearlsnaps, but these three are.

If you want to donate to my cause or learn more please click here.

Here are my cool pink shirts. From mild to wild.

This is a Stetson brand. It's a nice shirt, but for the price it should have been American made. The snaps have a cool Stetson logo, but it's 100% cotton and not permanent press.

This is an eBay special. I love the color and the snaps are even pink. Again this one is 100% cotton and not permanent press. Ironing is getting old, but it's for a good cause and the time at the ironing board is time to think about and pray for my friends.

That's what I'm talking about! Ely Cattleman in the loudest shade of pink possible with embroidered roses. Just like this one.

Old Milwaukee Rebate

I never heard of getting a rebate on beer so I had to try it. Six bucks back on a thirty pack. All you need is the form, the barcode off the box and the receipt.

Mail it in.

Holy crap! That worked. It took a few weeks, but it worked.

Charlie Daniels - Waterfill & Frazier

Check out Kirk West's photography. Amazing work and enough pearlsnap shirts to sink a battle ship. This one fits in good with my blog.

How to fix a pearl snap shirt

If you love your pearl snap shirt this will happen to you at some point. Easier than sewing a button back on for sure.

Military Special Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

This my friends is the King of Cheap Bourbon. Only available at the Class 6 store on a military base to military personnel. Only $8.95 for a whole quart not just a fifth.

Old Charter 8 year old

Well I do like the unassuming and unpretentious labeling of this mid price bourbon. They have dressed up the label with some gold recently. As far as the whiskey goes this is very very smooth, but there is fine line between smooth and bland.

Black with White Piping - Scully

I have been a bit short on shirt pictures lately. It's tough to model and get my wife to do the picture taking. So here's a classic black with white piping. Classic all the way. Scully makes the nicest shirts. Someday I may get a Rockmont shirt just for comparison, but so far the Scully is the finest I have found.

You think for the price and quality that they wouldn't come from China though.

Old Weller Antique - 107

This is great stuff. The packaging has changed since I bought this bottle.

It's hard to get it to show in the picture, but there's gold veins on the bottle. They don't do that any more.

They used to come in a "velvet" bag kind of like a Crown Royal bag. They don't do that any more.

George Dickel

I know it's Tennessee Whiskey and not bourbon, but it's a cool bottle.

Bob Wills' Gravesite

Bob Wills final resting place is in Tulsa's Memorial Park Cemetery at 51st and Memorial. Click on the picture for a better view.

Here's the aerial shoot of the cemetery with Bob's grave at the red circle in case you need to find it and no one is in the office.
